The Evangelism Team started fully on the 5th of September 2008 with a group of dedicated members of about 10.
Our first outreach to the market was held on the 27th of September. It was the first of its kind for some of our members, the excitement of spreading the Gospel was clearly written on the faces of those who were part of this outreach.
In preparation for this programme, we had a series of preparation classes for the outreach for two weeks, every service day. Our aim and focus as a team was not only to force down the throats of men the Gospel, but for all men to see the love of Christ and the manifestation of His power, irrespective of where we found ourselves. As Winston Churchill said:
“We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give”
Evangelising is encouraged to team members as well as church members and this encouragement has led to the salvation and healing of individuals in supermarkets and car parks – by not only saying a prayer of repentance but one of healing which you the reader can say right now if you are afflicted:- ‘this healing belongs to me, because of what Jesus did for me on the cross, I receive my healing now’. Many prayed it and were healed you can be healed too!
Our goal for 2009 is to see that we spread Life Eternal to every man or woman we come across irrespective of colour, creed, gender, or behaviour pattern. The Bible clearly states in the books of Matthew 28:19 Jesus says:
” All authority in the heaven and on the earth has been given to me, therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name if the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.
Matthew 5:13 – 14 says that we are the salt / light of the earth…
We, as a team, have made up our minds to affect our generation and community at large. Mother Theresa once stated:
“Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got but they need your hearts to love them. So spread your love everywhere you go”
This is our goal till the Lord returns, to spread our arms of love to everyone we meet. Our target is limitless. The useful Scriptures we use during Soul Winning are as follows:

Remember, Soul Winning is not Soul Competition…

A short sinners prayer
Lord Jesus I thank you for giving uo yourself willingly for my sake and dying for me that I may live, I accept you as my Lord and my Saviour, grant me the grace to live life that would draw more men and women to you. Thank you Jesus, I truly love you.
